Prezident Asociace českých kameramanů Marek Jícha s víceprezidentem Jiřím Myslíkem popřáli Americké asociaci kameramanů ke stoletému výročí její vzniku a předali prezidentovi Keesovi van Oostrumovi dárek, skleněnou kameru od výrvarníka Antonína Manto. Prezident ASC při slavnostním přípitku s potěšením konstatoval, že čeští kameramani založili historicky druhé profesní společenství rok po vzniku ASC. V roce 1919 vznikl v Hollywoodu Static Club a současně v New Yorku Society of Cinematographers. Rok poté (1920) byl v Čechách založen Český klub kinofotografů. Jde o dvě nejstarší asociace.
President of the Association of Czech Cinematographers Marek Jicha with Vice President Jiri Myslik wished the American Association of Cinematographers to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its creation and gave President ASC Kees van Oostrum a gift, a glass camera by classmaker Antonín Manto. The ASC President was pleased to announce that Czech cameramen have established a historically second professional community one year after the ASC. In 1919, the Static Club was founded in Hollywood and the Society of Cinematographers in New York. A year later (1920), a Czech Club of Kino Photographers was founded in Bohemia. These are the two oldest camera associations.
