Born January 5th 1961 in Sofia (Bulgaria)

• 1978-80 – Technical College of Photography, Sofia

• 1984-89 – Academy of Fine Arts (FAMU), Prague, Dep. of Film and TV Camera in the class of J. Kališ, diploma thesis on The Image Stylistics of Andrey Tarkovski films, under the supervision of Professor J. Macháňě

• member of the A.Č.K. (Association of Czech Cinematographers)

• from 2005 teaches a seminar on dramatic film forms for 4th grade students at FAMU Department of Cinematography, together with Diviš Marek A.Č.K.

• besides film projects he has shot a number of commercials and music video clips

• lives in Prague together with his family
